Chidinma Ekile, known majorly as 'Chidinma' or 'Miss Kedike' is not new to the music industry, for most music lovers, it will be remembered that she was the sweet voiced, petite winner of the MTN sponsored Project Fame Season 3, although she has somewhat gone on hiatus in recent times.
Her exist from Capital Hills Records, co-owned by Nigerian rapper, Illbliss Gorreti and Nigerian cinematographer, Clarence Peters, was partly to blame, as it was reported that she took time out to re-strategize. No official reason was given for exist from the music label, although Naij.com reported that it was due to disagreement of the sharing formula, while others simply stated that the contract ran to an end and was not renewed.
With a return to the music scene, under 2nite Music, same label housing her 'touted boyfriend' Flavour Nabania, and a new video for her latest single 'Fallen in love' the making the rounds, is this a pointer to the reintroduction of Chidinma?
While many long to see what the afro pop singer has in store this time, only time will tell.
