She Made Me
Stronger
She made me stronger, when she decided to leave me.
She made me stronger, even when she was desperate to be me.
She made me so strong, I took another look at my zest;
And even when I thought I wouldn’t make it, I came out the best.
Looking back at how things unfolded, I probably hurt her
first.
Taking an immediate second look however, I couldn’t imagine
my own hurt.
I smiled as I bid her farewell, because; how else, could I
have fared well.
She definitely made me stronger, the strongest of them all.
Imagine the look on her face, when they said I had made it.
Oh yes, and I “made it”, even while she tried to jinx it.
Imagine those that had been wrongly briefed,
Their disappointment, their envy; or like I heard, their total disbelieve.
She could have called herself my subconscious, because she
practically was me.
She spilled and spilled, because she had thought that was a
way to break me.
She made me stronger, have you heard how sincerely I sound?
I couldn’t have been more grateful, as I went higher in
effortless bounds.
She made me the strongest, the best of the valued rest.
She made me who I always wanted to be, but this time; with
no contest.
She lacked the knowledge, and she sure didn’t understand my
worth;
Because, despite her intentions, she sure made me move forth.
I looked back and smiled, when I was expected to weep.
I still look back and smile, because really it could have
been very deep.
That moment you intend to destroy, but God says, “No, this
isn’t my mission”.
Then He decides to perfect it all, rendering you speechless
with no diction.
She made me stronger, I’m back to that phrase.
Because, come to think of it, I would never have been so
praised.
She tried to put a hold, and when I tried to break free,
I became too bold for her majesty; and carefree.
She decided to leave me, but I had already been set free.
She made me stronger, and I am forever debt-free.
Her name, you say? Is it really that important?
She made me stronger, isn’t it all that matters?
Well, if you insist; I can’t be too secretive.
All I know is, she was definitely with the old me.
I answered your question, she used to be me.
But then, she showed her true colors; thus bringing forth,
the new me.
The beauty of it now is, I’ve learnt all there is to life.
All I sincerely do thus, is to watch it unfold in time.
